A soul-destroying disaster
One truly gigantic
Has struck a small island
In the heart of the Atlantic
7 on the Richter scale
An earthquake so mighty
It's devastated the core
Of the republic of Haiti
People, buildings or structures
Quakes don't discriminate
Death and destruction
Their inevitable fate
Friends and relatives
All fearing the worst
Once again on this island
Nature casts its curse
Some cant bare to watch
Others turn to prayer
This island's been through so much
How can this be fair?
But through all this woe
When no-one knows what to do
Everything thats great in humanity
Comes shining through
People from all walks of life
From all across the land
Volunteering their services
To lend that helping hand
Getting down on all fours
To help clear the rubble
Full of hope that they'll
Be able to pull someone out of trouble
As time passes by
And potential survivors run out of air
Efforts become more frantic
People looking on with despair
But just when it appears
All hope is forlorn
Working for days without finding anyone
Their spirits torn
Someone hears a squeal
Like a being who's in trouble
All hope re-surfaces
Efforts once more redoubled
And then that joyous moment
A person that's still alive
The efforts were all worth it
All ivolved giving high fives
But it doesn't stop there
For this is just one
Once all the lives are saved
Will this battle be won
So spare a thought for Haiti
And all who are there
All the people who have suffered
And all those who've shown they care
Lets pray for more survivors
From this country thats been blighted
Let more of these lives fulfil their purpose
Let more families be reunited
Show passion and togetherness
Even if you play a small part
Pray or give financially
Show our fellow humans some heart
It's times of trauma like this
Which proves the ultimate test
Times which help us realise
How all our lives are blessed
For whenever we're in trouble
We all come together as one
And see all that is great
In us and our fellow human

That was deep Doc. It reminds me of Papa-Doc of Haiti, when he resurrected me, and gave me a mission to be an extreme nuissance to humanity. :mummified:
